Amity International School, Pushp Vihar was invited to participate in the Rajiv Gandhi Akshay Urja Pratishthan organized by TERI. The Energy Resource Institute. There were various competitions held for students. They comprised of model making on renewable sources of energy a banner making competition encouraging students to think innovatively as to how they can use the renewable resources of energy. The slogan writng competition was the most important as it gave an insight into the minds & hearts of the future generation. Tvisha Goswami of VII B was the proud winner of the slogan writing competition. She was awarded a cash prize of Rs. 500/- at a grand ceremony held at Bal Bhawan on 23rd of August 2008. The Chief Guests were Mr. R K Pachauri, the Nobel Laureate, Mrs. Sheila Dixit, the Honourable Chief Minister of Delhi and Mr. Deepak Gupta.
